Uneek Garmz: Moving Fwd

…So we have decided to expand the business and open up our own butchers…

 

 

Seems like a good time to get into that industry.

The shop is in Wales.

We have just recruited a few bangladeshi kids who only wanted £1.28 an hour!!!! Bargain!

Miley Cyrus has agreed to cut the tape on the offical opening.

We were planning on using the premesis to sell our new designs as well but the smell of dead meat wasn’t too kind. So we have put Mohammed in charge of it while we stay in London.

Uneek Garmz: Backstage

We were invited by Live Magazine for a fashion shoot…

So we rocked down (drove lol) to Waterloo on Sunday with a whole bunch of new clothes for the shoot. Got ourselves a coffee and watched as Sian Anderson (cheif editor) and her team ran around like headless chickens organising everyone! lol!

But it was a good day out, the photoshoot went really well, we met up with loads of new faces as well as old ones (Jade why you gotta be everywhere we go? haha)  And heres some photos from behind the scenes…

This week we worked out that our very own Twisted Micky is not only a photographer, fashion designer, web desginer…. but also a squirrel whisperer!!!!

In other news, the Uneek Garmz mascot underwent her standard proceedure spaying op this week. Aside from having a patch of fur missing and a mini lampshade on her face, Kahlo made it through succesfully. Thanks to everyone who wished her well

 

 

She’ll be back to her usual mischeivous self in no time!

MJ gone…

Just heard MJ has died aged 50… its a sad day for music. He wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and as when anyone important dies, the people who loved to hate him, will pretend they were his biggest fan.

His music will live on forever…

The media hype around it is going to be so big so lets leave it at that!

This week we gave 5 memebers of our facebook group a free tee. Simply because we can! lol

But the main reason was because we have reached the magic 1000 members in the Uneek Garmz facebook group. We sent a msg to all members and the first 5 to reply getting a free tee. Their tee’s have been posted, and our inbox in now funked. lol

It’s one of those things that set us apart from others, we like to interact with our Uneeks! And to keep you all happy!

Uneek Garmz: The Neeky Story So Far…

So… Uneek Garmz has been officially up and running for two months now! Its been absolutely manic, facebook deletion and broken bones (Rajohan’s foot!) Its been a lot to contend with!! But we wouldn’t have changed a thing! it’s been so exciting thanks to your support, we didn’t expect to sell so many tee’s in our first two months but it goes to show that you guys out there are looking for something different in the market! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! We’d be nothing without our customers! Stay Uneek peeps!

We have some treats in store for you! As you should already be aware we have a special credit crunch offer ongoing which expires on the 1st April 2009!

Two colours…£8….free p&p…. Take advantage of this offer coz it runs out on the first of April! We just finished our next few designs and will be giving you a sneek peek soon! But of course the most popular item of our range so far has been the Scully Bunny t-shirt. Despite not being available on the site yet, it has had some amazing feedback.

Uneek Garmz: From Skully Rabbits to Broken Raj’s…

Yep since the last blog I broke my leg! Would be lying if I said it didn’t hurt! Never felt physical pain like that in my life! Heard the crack, screamed with pain, the rest they say is history. Six weeks in a knee high cast. Got a bit bored… lol!

But I think the worst part was having to hobble around in public. It was like no one in London has seen someone with a cast and crutches before! Jeeeez, put your eyes back in prick! Well, the cast was officially removed in time for our photo shoot with Kay Young. Oh…My…God, she’s amazing. We are telling you this girls got so much talent, it’s only a matter of time before we be seeing her in the papers. The best thing about her is she’s pretty down to earth too. Keep it real Miss Young!

We took a trip to Roehampton University to support the ACLT, African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust. Cool show, a few weird happenings but the presenters were BADASS. Big up Ashley J & Tee-J for the entertainment. Making movements you’ll be seeing them two on our featured artist section soon.

So we followed them to the next show they were presenting. Y.A.C. Youth Against Crime in Stratford Circus. DEEP! But one thing we noticed was how much talent they crammed into the show! From the Mud Kids street dance group to Sleazy Mc who got the crowd bouncing. It’s always good to see talent young London.

What else has happened since we check in last? The scully bunny tees were finally put up for sale. We’ve had A LOT of people say it reminds them of the Donnie Darko bunny. Which we can see but it makes us laugh, because it had no influence on the designing of it whatsoever. Just the twisted mind of Micky designing something crazy. Love to all the ppl that messaged us about it ;o)

 

A lot of work has been done designing Twisted Micky’s new website. Updating new work aside from the photos of Uneek. Mostly fashion shoots. But a good mix we think.

 Can’t forget to tell you, we had a shoot with Deja Vu FM’s very own DJ Sneaky last weekend. Big shout out to him for coming down to model in a few of our brand new exclusive designs. You can catch him during the week on Déjà FM 92.4 – or in the DJ box of various London clubs making your night one to remember! We were prepared for Sneaky but we weren’t prepared for his brother Ishen Amara. Pure madness! He’s a bad boy musician and we couldn’t believe we hadn’t heard of him before. In fact listen to him here:

We had bare jokes shooting with both Shenin and Ishen so big shout out to them. Keep doing your thing. Pictures from their shoot should be ready sometime next week so get ready for the release of some exclusive designs!
